Peter Phillips weds NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in Cotswolds; King Charles and Camilla leave early for Epsom Derby

Peter Phillips, 48, the eldest grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and son of the Princess Royal (Princess Anne), married NHS paediatric nurse Harriet Sperling on Saturday 6 June 2026 at All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, in the Cotswolds. It was Phillips' second marriage; the couple met at a children's sporting event in early 2024, and he proposed on 1 August 2025 with a trilogy diamond ring. The bride wore a custom Emilia Wickstead gown - a square-neck column underdress with a lace overjacket fitted at the waist and a roughly three-metre train - accessorised with the Pragnell family tiara featuring laurel-leaf and floral motifs.

Bridesmaids included Sperling's daughter Georgina and Phillips' daughters Savannah (15) and Isla (14). Royal attendees included King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales (Catherine in a cream Roland Mouret/Roland design), Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh; Prince Andrew and Prince Harry did not attend. King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the ceremony only, then travelled more than 100 miles to Surrey to present the trophy at the Epsom Derby in the Winner's Enclosure, while William and Catherine stayed for the full day.

The private wedding, with no public guest list released, was a rare gathering of the extended Windsor family and the second royal-adjacent wedding of Anne's son.
